5 of our most frequently asked questions
Last week the Omniplex team headed down to London for Learning Technologies 2017, and what a great exhibition it was! This year was my first chance to attend Learning Technologies and I noticed that some of the same questions were creeping up throughout both days at the exhibition.
So, for those of you that didn’t get the chance to meet us last week, I thought I’d answer some of our most frequently asked questions:
1. Who are Omniplex?
In a nutshell, we’re an eLearning solutions provider. We can help you with your eLearning initiatives, whether you need an authoring tool, an LMS or even want us to create your eLearning course from start to finish – we’re here to help.
We partner with some of the greatest eLearning companies, including: Articulate, Docebo, SumTotal, eLearning Brothers and Yukon Learning. Plus, we have our own in-house content development team, Cursim, which is made up of some amazing instructional designers, content developers and graphic designers, who are all on hand to create an outstanding eLearning course for your company.
2. We want to switch our existing learning strategy to eLearning, but we’ve got no idea where to start
Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Firstly, our eLearning consultants are here to help, drop them an email – they don’t bite! But to summarize, the first decision you’ll need to make is whether you DIY or ask for a little bit of help.
If you decide to do it yourself, you’ll need an authoring tool and Articulate 360 is probably a great place to start; it has a content library full of templates to get you started and with Articulate Live you get free webinars which are run by the experts at Articulate. I know you’re probably thinking ‘what more could I want?’, but Articulate 360 comes with 7 other products for your eLearning content development needs, you can find out more about them, here.
Or, if you’re looking to the experts for help, you’ve come to the right place. Cursim have created eLearning courses for some amazing brands and their work really speaks for itself, so check out some of the courses they’ve created, here. If you don’t need a whole course created, but would like a little helping hand from our team, we also create template packs and offer consultancy – get in touch for more information!
Either way, you might need a Learning Management System (LMS) to share your content with your learners.
3. What is a learning management system?
In one sentence, a learning management system is your way of sending your courses out to learners and tracking your completion rates and many other metrics. However, this is such a frequently asked question, we have an entire blog post answering it, check it out here!
4. So, why Omniplex?
Essentially, we will find the best products for you, teach you how to use them and give you all the support you need. Since this is your eLearning, you choose which services you want. This has been a recipe for success for our clients, which has grown to include over 1,000 public and private sector organizations. This just goes to show that knowledge – and our willingness to share it – can be powerful stuff.
5. How do you ‘share your knowledge’?
Sharing our knowledge and assets is crucial and rooted in our mentality here at Omniplex. That includes giving our clients all the source files and correlating assets for the courses we create for them.
We carry this ethos through to our products too. We offer training courses which will help you with instructional design, building better courses and eLearning project management. Alongside this we are Articulate’s certified UK trainer; so you can learn how to use any of Articulate’s tools, including Articulate 360, Studio and Storyline, from the experts.
But, we don’t just leave it there. We run regular webinars hosted by our experts which can help you to create amazing eLearning courses. Our webinars last 30 minutes to an hour, so you can fit these around your busy schedule!
So, there you have it, our 5 most frequently asked questions. But, if you have any more feel free to get in touch.
